The 3M 501 Particulate Filter Retainer is designed to securely hold compatible 3M particulate prefilters in place over 3M gas and vapor cartridges. When used as part of a complete 3M reusable respirator system, the 501 retainer allows users to add particulate filtration while helping extend the service life of underlying cartridges.
This retainer snaps easily over compatible 3M bayonet-style cartridges and is commonly used with 3M 5N11 N95 prefilters and other approved particulate prefilters.
